Servicing requirements of the Freewheeler conversion

Servicing requirements of the Freewheeler conversion are minimal due to our design concept.

The Freewheeler conversion is engineered in Australia for local conditions. Our design focus has always been on robust construction, and ease of use with sturdy uncomplicated components. For example, we retain the manufacturer's suspension layout. We feel as they have spent many millions of dollars on their design and development it is unwise to cut up the factory suspension, or fit such items as air bag suspension. Such changes can adversely affect the vehicle's ride, stability and reliability and most certainly raises questions regarding guarantee of future servicing and parts supply.

Replacement fuel tanks fitted in every Freewheeler since Job 1 have been made in stainless steel for long life and low maintenance, as are our exhaust modifications, while our power loading winch motors are fully sealed and require no routine servicing.

For the above reasons, service needs on the conversion are very low indeed however where mechanical or accident repair work is required, repairs can be carried out by any competent mechanical workshop or body shop, (as appropriate).

Unique parts required for smash repairs, restraints or other service items can be shipped (usually overnight) from the Elizabeth West SA conversion factory (details below), while factory technicians are available to provide telephone support for your local repairer should they require guidance or you can contact one of our service agents listed below.
